Our actors
We held auditions to help us decide who we would choose as our actors. They had a synopsis of the story and were given a script plus the opportunity to improvise.
However, though we filmed this, when we gave the tape to the I.T technicians at our college they misplaced it.
Fortunately, I filmed a video of Emily and Charlotte giving our responses to the auditions and who we had picked:

And this is the auditions script we used, which was deliberately vague so the actors were forced to improvise so we could see how they could respond:

Script
Females:
You are a rich girl who lives in the 1800’s, and you are in your late teens.
1: Imagine you are spying on someone through a keyhole and you see something shocking.
2: Imagine you are being watched by a judgemental group of people and you have to pretend to be upset about something.
3: Improvisation
Males:
You are a man in his early twenties and you live in the 1800’s.
1: Pretend you are getting drunk in an alley. You drop the bottle and it smashes.
2: Imagine that you are flirting with someone, but in a subtle way.
3: Improvisation

Filming date
We have set a date for when we are going to be filming. We will be using the October half term week (24-28th), as it fits in best with our other studies.

Inspiration
The idea for our trailer; for the synopsis of the film, came from reading books and watching the films for Pride and Prejudice, Wuthering Heights and Emma.

We are aiming to achieve an film trailer that is similar to The Woman in Black (2011) trailers in terms of editing and costume
And similar to the costume and story style of The Piano trailer (1993)

Introduction
For my A2 media coursework task, I will be working in a group of 3 to create a film trailer and for my individual ancillary tasks, I will be designing a film poster and a film magazine cover.
Because I made a film opening last year, I am already sufficiently skilled with using camera equipment and editing and sound software.
